The growth and development of Dyromys nitedula is considered from birth up to two week age. The young ones of Dyromys nitedula are born blind, with closed aural orifices and accrete fingers. On the fifth day of life the fingers begin to separate and this process stops to the tenth day of life. The aural orifices begin to open at the age of 10 days and at the age of 13 days the animals well react on sound. Being two weeks old they see, hear and move well, but still feed on the mother's milk. General growth and weight increase occur rather evenly in process of development. However, the tail grows considerably quicker than total length of the body and length of hind part of foot (Fig. 1, 2). At the age of two weeks the young ones reach a half size of the adult animal body.
