The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of lead acetate, calcium alginate and kvertsetin on some cellular and humoral components of the experimental animals organism, their non-specific resistance and immunological reactivity. The effects of 5 and 25 -day exposure of lead acetate, calcium alginate and kvertsetin were studied in the experiments with the white male rats. Calcium alginate and kvertsetin were used as supplements in experimental model of lead intoxication. The lead blood content was determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy. Complexes of standard immunological methods were used. The phagocytic function, bactericidal activity of neutrophiles was investigated. The titer of complement (CH50) and level of circulating immune complexes (CIC) in the rats blood serum was evaluated also.

The results of biomonitoring of the heavy metals showed that lead cations concentration in blood of the exposed animals were significant higher than in the control group. Immunological studies displayed that lead significantly inhibited cellular and humoral components of rat non¬specific organism defence. The decrease of neutrophiles phagocytic and bactericidal activity, complement titer and enhanced of CIC levels
were found. Application of calcium alginate on the background of lead intoxication stimulated the indexes of rats non-specific resistance. Kvertsetin also affected the cellular and humoral components of immunological reactivity in rats exposed to lead but in a less degree.
