африканском континенте. Поражение Франции и начало битвы за Англию серьезно поколебало
английские позиции в Средиземноморье и на Ближнем Востоке. Поражение итальянцев, успехи и
неудачи англичан, смелые и решительные действия немецких войск – все это характерно для боев за
Африку.

Середземномор'ї і на Близькому Сході. Поразка італійців, успіхи і невдачі англійців, сміливі та рішучі дії

The article gives the analysis of the military actions during the Second world war on the African continent. The
defeat of France and the beginning of the battle of Britain seriously shake the English position in the
Mediterranean and the middle East. The defeat of the Italians, the successes and failures of the British, bold and
decisive actions of the German troops - this is all about fighting for Africa.
The British military was used in North Africa tactics developed during the war in the colonies. The massive use
of forces and means were not.
Military command of the English army was left behind the new ways and forms of modern warfare. Military
action in North Africa, as well as other minor theatres of the Second world war, had a negligible value and have
not had an appreciable influence on its outcome.
The British military had got rid of organic diseases, which are manifested in the martial art of this country in the
First world war, 1914-1918.
Hitler never gave the Mediterranean such a large value as the British. For him, it was just an unfortunate
obstacle. Distracting him from war destruction, which he led on the Eastern front.
