Празькі гроші ХІV—ХV ст. з археологічних пам’яток України

Abstract

Розглядаються можливості датування українських старожитностей ХІV—ХV ст. за знахідками празьких грошів і звертається увага на регіональні особливості їхнього обігу.

Рассмотрены находки пражских грошей XIV—XV вв. в разных регионах Украины. На территории Галицко- Волынской Руси, украинских земель Золотой Орды, Великого княжества Литовского, польского королевства и отдельных княжеств Руси-Украины они представлены разными группами монет. Cогласно письменным источникам, находкам в кладах и на археологических памятниках в Галицко-Волынское княжество пражские гроши Вацлава ІІ (1300—1305) и Яна І Люксембургского (1310—1346) поступают уже в первые десятилетия ХIV в. К 1330—1350 гг. относится большинство находок обрезанных монет. Пражские гроши Карла І (1346—1378) были в обращении на Волыни и в Галиции во второй половине XIV в. Гроши XIV в. найдены и в Поднепровье, но они очень редки в кладах, датируемых 1360—1380 гг. В XV в. пражские гроши Вацлава IV (1378—1419) абсолютно доминируют в денежном обращении украинских земель Великого княжества Литовского. Большинство находок датируется временем после 1405—1407 гг. (согласно типологии С. Веселого). Обращение грошей начала XV в. было очень длительным, но все же ограниченным во времени. Верхние границы их обращения определяются серединой — второй половиной XV в. по джучидским, польским, литовским и гирейским монетам. Анализ монетных находок из археологических памятников и кладов позволяет установить периоды наиболее интенсивного обращения чешских грошей. Топография находок, их типы, вес и качество может помочь более точно датировать культурные слои и археологические памятники.

Finds of Prague groschen from the 14th c. to the 15th c. in various regions of Ukraine are discussed. They are represented by diverse groups of coins on the territory of Halych-Volyn Rus, the Ukrainian lands of the Golden Horde, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Polish Kingdom, and several principalities of Rus-Ukraine. According to written sources, finds in hoards and at archaeological sites, the Prague groschen of Wenceslaus II (1300— 1305) and John I Count of Luxemburg (1310—1346) arrived to Halych-Volyn principality already in the first decades of the 14th с. Most of the finds of cut groschen date from the 1330-s to the 1350-s. The Prague groschen of Charles IV (1346—1378) circulated on the territory of Volyn and Halych in the second half of the 14th с. Groschen of the 14th с. were also found in the Dnipro River region, but they are very rare in hoards dated from the 1360-s to the 1380-s. The Prague groschen of Wenceslaus IV (1378—1419) absolutely dominated in money circulation in Ukrainian lands of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 15th c. Most of finds are dated by the period after 1405—1407, according the typology of S. Veselyj. The circulation of the Prague groschen of the early 15th c. lasted for very long, though limited time. The upper time limits of their circulation are determined to up to the middle/the second half of the 15th с. judged by Guchid, Polish, Lithuanian, and Girayan coins. The analysis of coin finds at the archeological monuments and hoards allows the author to determine the periods of most intensive circulation of Czech coins. Topography of finds, their typology, weight and quality can help to date cultural layers and archeological monuments more precisely.
