О роли гипотез в зоологических исследованиях

Abstract

Большой объем эмпирических данных, накопленных в зоологии, нуждается в обобщениях, которые наиболее продуктивны при наличии рабочих гипотез. Многократно подтвержденная гипотеза становится теоретической концепцией, освещающей дальнейшее получение знаний. На примере двух концепций — эволюционной роли полов и экологической биоэнергетики — показаны научные достижения, полученные на основе гипотез, развитие которых привело к новым концептуальным представлениям.

A large amount of empiric data accumulated in zoology needs generalization. Generalizations are more productive when there are some hypotheses. A hypothesis confirmed many times becomes a conception, which elucidates the further obtaining of knowledge. For example, with the help of two conceptions, the Evolutionary Role of the Sexes, and the Ecological Bioenergetics, one can see the scientific achievements obtained on the basis of the hypotheses, the development of which led to these conceptual ideas.
