Співдія вибору і скерування в діахронному аспекті

Abstract

Розглянуто проблему поєднання людської вільної волі та Божого керування, як її розуміє Тома. Аналіз базується на “Сумі теології” Томи з Аквіну та працях Аристотеля. Подано огляд і пояснення системи термінології, пов’язаної з концептом вільної волі. Кілька цікавих уривків із “Суми теології” та інших творів Томи запропоновано для ілюстрації, в оригіналі та українському перекладі. Розглянуто різницю між деякими близькими за значенням термінами. Здійснено порівняння сприйняття концепту волі в діахронному аспекті. Подано український переклад низки термінів, адже завдання статті – знайти адекватний спосіб відтворення деяких схоластичних термінів.

The article deals with St. Thoma’s understanding of the problem of human’s free will in connection with God’s guidance. This analysis is based on “Summa theologiae” of Thomas Aquinas and works of Aristotle. The review and explanation of terminological system related to the concept of free will is given in the article. Several interesting passages of “Summa” as well as the other St. Thoma’s works are given here. Their Ukrainian translation is also provided. The difference between several terms of close meaning is established. The comparison of reception of the concept of Free will in diachronical aspect is given as well. The Ukrainian translation of these terms is also provided. This feature helps the reader to grasp the line of understanding of translation of some important terms, since the goal of this article is to fi nd the appropriate way of reproducing of some scholastic terms.
