<link>http://dspace.nbuv.gov.ua:80/handle/123456789/20345</link>
The authors that were writing Macedonian drama from the end of sixties of the twentieth century use the archetipical and mythological symbolizm in a way that is close to the European theatrical tendencies. In the texts of «Jane Zadrogaz», «The miracle of St. Georges», «Masks» etc. the folklore is brought on stage transformed and put in a new function. Analysing those texts we can say that the folklore matrixes in contemporary Macedonian play are not only an illustration, but the authors use the signs and the elements of the folklore in a sense of contemporary experience of the world. The authors such as Stefanovski, Chingo, Bogdanovski and others took different approaches to this matter and have more or less succeeded to create the picture of the world according to the folklore model, and the level of success in this concept often depended on the way of approaching the material and of the individual creative abilities.

The researches of the folklore and ethnographic sources underscore, that the dramatic elements exist in the folk art (songs, fairy tales, small folklore genres, children folklore etc.), in customs and in the other forms of the life of the folk. But it's importaint what I mean by the notion "dramatic elements in the folklore". Namely, existence of the action, plot, culmination and denouement, then the place and time of the development of the action, monologue, dialogue in the action, characters, masks, dresses, text, scenography, scenario, director, audience, puppet-show, i. e. the presence of the performance. In this paper special attention is given to some dramatic acting with multitude of the dramatic elements, which are connected with large quantity of the Cristmas holidays. We also drew parallels between traditional forms and new elements of celebration and results of the actualization of some innovations in society. It is worth to refer the carnivals in Vechani and Strumitsa and also celebrations of the Eve in Skopje.

The article gives a new viewpoint on understanding folklore. First of all it is presented as a form of national identity and individual perception of the world. The author suggests that different kinds of spiritual and creative levels form a great number of layers. The correlation between folklore and modern concepts of globalization of cultures is researched.

From the stated above we can conclude that these decorative elements are used for the head, particularly lesa and kocel, which are found on women’s and especially brides costume from some parts of Macedonia. They consist of series of esthetical, functional and magical-ritual elements that clearly associate them with ancient archaic cults of fertility. All these speaks of unavoidable influences and trails left from ancient pagan ritual forms and their sincretization in folklore of Slovenes nations, connected with cult of fertility and cyclic renovation of natural cosmic forces.
