Номиса "Українські приказки, прислів’я і таке інше" Філінюк, В. У статті подано погляди українських та закордонних учених на тлумачення понять «валентність», «сполучуваність», «дистрибуція». Узагальнено підходи до використання цих термінів щодо одиниць різних мовних рівнів. Проаналізовано вживання цих понять у зв’язку із такими частинами мови, як дієслово та іменник. Розглянуто, як у вітчизняних мовознавчих працях описують ознаки семантичної та синтаксичної сполучуваності слів. Детально досліджено сполучуваність лексеми сонце в збірці М. Номиса «Українські приказки, прислів’я і таке інше» (1864). Зосереджено увагу на семантико-граматичних ознаках аналізованого слова в паремійних текстах. З’ясовано, що лексема сонце в українських народних приказках, прислів’ях, загадках вживається для зображення сонця й інших явищ природи, часових проміжків, зіставлення з позитивно й негативно забарвленими поняттями. Установлено, що вшанування українцями сонця, віра в його незнищенність, залежність господарського життя від сонячного тепла й світла спричинили активну семантичну сполучуваність цієї лексеми в досліджуваних текстах.; The article presents the views of Ukrainian and foreign scientists on the interpretation of the concepts of «valence», «connectivity», «distribution». The approaches to using these terms in connection with units of different language levels are generalized. The use of these concepts in connection with such parts of the speech as the verb and the noun is analyzed. It is considered, as in Ukrainian linguistics the signs of semantic and syntactic connectivity of words are described. The lexeme sun in the collection of M. Nomys «Ukrainian sayings, proverbs and so on» (1864) was studied in detail. The attention is focused on the semantic and grammatical features of the analyzed word in paremias. It was found out that the lexeme sun is used in the Ukrainian folk sayings, proverbs, riddles for a figurative image of the sun and other phenomena of nature, time intervals, and comparison with positive and negative concepts. It was established that the respect for the Ukrainians of the sun, the belief in its indissolubility, the dependence of life on solar heat and light caused an active semantic connectivity in the texts studied. У статті висвітлено лексикографічний і дискурсивний аспекти експліцитного гендерного маркування назв осіб англійської мови. Сукупність експліцитних гендерних маркерів та маркованих ними назв осіб розглянуто як сегмент функціонально-семантичного поля статі. Лексикографічний аналіз довів наявність асиметрії гендерного маркування та виявив у семантиці гендерних маркерів реляційні, статусні й вікові конотації. Дискурсивним контекстом дослідження експліцитного гендерного маркування є англомовна публіцистична преса України. Відмінності гендерного маркування зумовлено активнішою позицією жінок в експлікації як свого, так і протилежного гендера та обережнішою позицією чоловіків у репрезентації фемінінності. Узагальнені дані дають підстави стверджувати, що англомовна публіцистична преса України формує типові гендерні стереотипи й образи дорослого, сильного фізично та успішного соціально чоловіка, молодої чи зрілого віку жінки, привабливої зовнішньо, яка перебуває в родинних, шлюбних чи інтимних стосунках із чоловіком, а також образ чоловіка як представника більшості професій, соціальних груп.; The paper is a comprehensive study of the language means of person’s names explicit gender marking in publicistic press in Ukraine. The system of explicit gender markers and person’s names marked by them are treated as a functional-semantic field of sex in the English language. Lexicographical analysis reveals semantic connotations of age, social status and inter-gender relations in the meanings of gender markers. The publicistic press in the English language published in Ukraine has been chosen as a context for discourse analysis. The distinctive features of explicit gender marking in this context are caused by active gender marking position of women and more passive, cautious position of men (especially in explicit marking of femininity). Generalized data demonstrate that the typical gender stereotypes of an adult, physically fit, socially successful man and the typical image of a young physically attractive woman, related to men in a family, marriage or sex are formed in the English publicistic press in Ukraine. Man is also seen as a typical representative of the majority of professions and social groups. His tremendous responsibility and perfectionism to his own and someone else’s language expression, his self-sacrificing work in favour of vernacular culture have been demonstrated.
