Circulatory branches grow in the intervertebral discs in the region of the ventrolateral and dorsal edges. Primary vascular elements have a form of protruded capillary loops which enter the fibrous ring. In the fibrous tissue of the intervertebral disc the blood vessels are located in slit-like spaces between the fibrous ring layers. In spaces between fibrous plates the vascular networks are formed by means of anastomoses. Closer to the central zones of the disc the networks become more fine-cellular. In the gelatinous nucleus circulatory branches are not found. Intraorganic vessels of the disc do not penetrate into bodies of vertebrae. Cicadetta nigropilosa sp. n. from Transcaucasia (Nakhichevan ASSR, the southern slopes of the Zangezur ridge) is described. The new species is the closest to Cicadetta montana S c o p. by external characters and morphology of the male genitalia, but its essential difference from C. montana is in black down of integuments, especially long on the head and thorax. The new species is characterized by a shorter penis stem (half as long as processes) and by wide smoothly ventral-bend processes, apexes of which are close to the base. 1976-01-01T00:00:00Z
