Ранньосередньовічні пам’ятки Розточчя в світлі краєзнавчих та археологічних досліджень (ХІХ – 30-ті роки ХХ ст.) Ляска, В. The article deals with history of research of medieval monuments in the territory of Roztochchya from the beginning of ХІХ century – 30-th of XX century. Two successive phases in process of studying of region are distinguished: local history and archaeological. In this context special attention is focused on the characteristics of local history descriptions of the 19-th century – on discussion of the issue of localization of annalistic cities, on the characteristics of the first archaeological excavations in this area. Importance of scientific activities of B. Janush, M. Drevko, J. Pasternak etc. is emphasized.

Педагогічна діяльність професора Юрія Полянського в Академічній гімназії Львова Томенюк, О. Period of work of professor Jury Polianskyi in Academic gymnasium in L’viv includes long interim of time (1920–1937). History of development of Academic gymnasium in L’viv and general results of scholar’s pedagogic activity in this scientific center are represented at this article. One of new aspects, which were not published before, is a collection of reviews, dedicated to Polianskyi, written by his former students. Geography textbook “Pozaevropeis’ki krai ta moria”, published by this scientist in 1938, is analyzed.

Формування української археології в Галичині у ХІХ столітті: Ісидор Шараневич (1829–1901) Булик, Н. Process of formation of Ukrainian archaeologyin Halychyna in XIX century is analyzed at the article. Preconditions of rise and transition to professional researches are explored. Two stages of process of development of archaeological science are distinguished. First of them includes 1818–1870 – period of Romantism in Halych archaeology. During the second period Isidor Sharanevych played main part in establish of Ukrainian archaeology. Field researches carried out by this scientist are presented. Main attention is paid to his excavations in Chekhy and Vysots’ko, his work on the Chair of Austrian history of L’viv University, participation in organization of archaeological departments in museums of Stavropigia and the University. Cultural and monument-preservation activity of Isidor Sharanevych is emphasized. Place of scholar’s works dedicated to archaeological issues among his scientific heritage is cleared up.

Кам’яна іконка із Звенигорода Петегирич, В.; Оприск, В.; Закалик, Б. The article deals with casual find of stone icon from Zvenyhorod. This artifact is made of pyrophyllite slate of dark-red color. It is round with rectangular ear with dimensions: 45x38x6,5–7,1 millimeters. Relief half-length picture of Christ with monogram “ІС–ХС” is placed on averse and image of flowering cross with two shoulders is scratched on reverse. The find belongs to local production of Zvenyhorod craftsmen oriented on common townsmen.
