Анотація:
We apply the variational strategy of solving inverse problems to identify the power of point sources of contamination in ground water basing on the data observed in control wells. To solve the initial-boundary problem, we use the Lagrangian - Eulerian approach to finite-difference schemes approximating the convection-diffusion equation. Our investigation has shown the effectiveness of the joint variational and Lagrangian - Eulerian approach to solving the inverse problems of identification of point sources of contamination in ground water.
