Abstract

Специфической особенностью памятников первичной кремнеобработки является обедненная, в целом, планиграфическая структура распределения культурных остатков. Как правило, структурные элементы слоя представлены разнотипными скоплениями продуктов первичного расщепления.

The debitage concentrations are any types at Upper Palaeolithic core workshops, with areas from 20 till 0.5 sq.m. The author has stressed that there is a specifical structure in the workshops flint concentrations. As a matter of fact, many objects are distingueshed by the interstratification of the two metrical flint categories: flakes and chips. The position of chips and microchips is between layers of middle and large flakes. The author proposes two reasons for this pattern..First of all, it is a resalt of natural taphonomy of a knapping prosses praducts: many chips accumulated in the free spase between flakes. Second, the stratification of knapping products reflects the core preparation-using siquences. This idea is illustrated by the dates of two Donetsk region, Ukraine, Upper Palaeolithic workshops - Novoklinivka-II and Visla Balka.
